Electric two-wheeler sales are increasing in India. Every month, EV firms establish new sales records. In November 2022, the number of electric two-wheeler sales topped 75,000.
As the demand for EVs grows, so does competition among manufacturers. Companies are always inventing and developing new items. New companies are also joining the market. Matter, an Ahmedabad-based business, debuted India’s first geared electric motorbike in November. It has a 4-speed transmission and dual-channel ABS. A 10.5 kW electric motor and a 5 kWh liquid-cooled battery power the bike. Depending on pace, it will have a range of 125-150 kilometers.
In November 2022, 76,163 electric two-wheelers were sold in India.

Ola Electric came in top place in retail sales. The ola warehouse shipped 16,246 S1 electric scooters in November 2022. The company’s sales have improved after the release of the Ola S1. With the introduction of the S1 Air, the business has now entered the sub-one lakh market sector. Ola Electric is also expanding its fast charging network around the country for the benefit of its consumers. The business has deployed over 50 hyperchargers in India and plans to build more than 1 lakh hyperchargers in 400 cities.
With 7,741 deliveries in November, Ather is ranked sixth on the sales list. The newly released Gen 3 450X is in high demand. To meet rising demand, Ather established a second manufacturing factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, boosting its yearly production capacity to 420,000 units.
