Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (TKM) is an Indian joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (89%) and Kirloskar Group (11%), for the production and marketing of Toyota automobiles in India.[3][4] The company’s headquarters are in Bidadi, Karnataka, near Bengaluru.
In 2000, the business launched its debut vehicle in the Indian car market, the Qualis. In the multi utility vehicle (MUV) sector, sales of the model increased in less than two years, capturing 20% market share from established local manufacturers such as Mahindra and Tata Motors. Toyota debuted the Camry and Corolla in 2002 and 2003, respectively.

TKM introduced the Innova in 2005 to replace the Qualis, which is built on a new IMV platform. Later, additional models such as the IMV series Fortuner SUV in 2009 and the Hilux pickup truck in 2022 were released. The sales and service network was expanded to accommodate the new goods, growing from 22 shops in 2000 to 166 in 2011, and 359 in 2019.

TKM produced the Etios as the company’s first entry-level model under the Entry Family Car (EFC) initiative in 2010. More than 2,000 employment were generated at TKM’s newly built second factory, while roughly 500 positions were created at Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts Private Limited.
